Built-In Bookshelves For Home Office Palmyra, VA

Brenda and Peter contacted us in search of someone who could build some built-in bookshelves for the home office in their new home they were building at Lake Monticello outside of Charlottesville, VA. As avid readers tend to do, they had acquired quite an extensive personal library over the years, something that a stock bookshelf wouldn't handle well due to the weight.

They loved the setup in their existing home so much that we used this as the inspiration. The challenges of the project were the approaching move-in date and the homes' high ceilings.

The project features maple veneer cabinet boxes with solid wood maple face frames, enriched with cherry water-based stain and finished with satin low-voc lacquer. Adjustable shelves make infinite arrangements a breeze. Crown, matching base, and shoe molding trim the project out for a completely integrated appearance.

The completed shelves measured approximately 9'H x 12'L x 12"D and provides ample room for their extensive reading collection.

Brenda and Peter loved what they saw so much and went on to add custom shelving in their closet as well!
