Dark Academia Built-In Library in Lake Monticello, VA

Hannah and David are newlyweds who have recently purchased their first home. Hannah is an avid reader with an extensive collection of books. She contacted us looking to remodel the office in her home in the style of Dark Academia, needing plenty of storage for her books and other miscellanies.

The project features maple wood stained a dark espresso color, stacked crown molding in the entire room, and applied trim molding to create the look she was going for. Adjustable shelves give endless options for arranging the various sized books in her ever-growing collection.
